What is Regulan?

Regulan is a fiber supplement made from ispaghula plant husk.

What symptoms does it treat?

Regulan is most commonly used to treat constipation as the fiber adds bulk to the stool and makes it easier to pass. Like other fiber supplements, it may also be used for diarrhoea as it can make stools more solid.

How is it taken?

Regulan comes in powder form, which is mixed with water and drunk.

I had tried everything for IBS. First, what was recommended by doctors and pharmacists, then I played around with my diet for about a year, and finally, out of pure desperation, I tried out whatever the various quacks were selling or recommending. Absolutely nothing worked. Not Fybogel, not peppermint, not bran, not aloe vera...nothing. Regulan was prescribed for me by a specialist and it has been a Godsend. It's not the best product for my IBS - it is the only product that works on my IBS.
