REVIEWS OF LACTINEX
Review by Miranda
I have had IBS since I was in the ninth grade, and I missed the majority of that school year. I have diarrhea, gas, and bloating. I wasn't diagnosed with IBS until a severe episode after eating yogurt when I was 19. I ended up in the ER I was so sick, and they referred me to a doctor who tried me on Nexium, Zantac, and other medications before I just stopped taking them and the IBS seemed to ease off.
A few months ago I had several episodes and I went back to a doctor who put me on Bentyl. The Bentyl has been working but I had food poisoning once and another doctor told me to buy something called Lactinex from the pharmacy and for weeks I didn't have an IBS episode. I stopped taking it after the food poisoning incident and just recently I was put on an antibiotic for bronchitis, and wouldn't you know, today I am having recurring episodes of diarrhea.
My pharmacist has recommended acidophilus, which is cheaper than Lactinex, so I plan on trying it. It also helps with lactose intolerance, which is another issue for me.
